High Bioavailability
Calcium bioavailability refers to the amount of elemental calcium obtained from different calcium salts, that is, the amount of calcium that is actually used by the body. According to WHO (World Health Organization), calcium citrate bioavailability is 51 mg (milligrams of elemental calcium per each gram of calcium citrate ingested), while calcium carbonate is 12 mg and calcium phosphate is 20 mg. In practical terms, when comparing calcium citrate with calcium carbonate, four times less calcium citrate is needed than calcium carbonate to obtain the same elemental calcium intake. Regarding calcium phosphate, two times less amount of calcium citrate is needed.
Purity: compactants-free, smaller tablets
Our calcium citrate is obtained by chemical reaction from high purity raw materials, this guarantees the resulting purity between 99 and 100%, according to pharmaceutical grade. Besides the above, when using our Calcium Citrate Dense as raw material in tablet-capsule manufacturing process, no binders or compactants are required to make the tablet, therefore, the final product has a better quality and less size, making it easier to consume.
Production process: Higher capacity / Lower costs
When using our Calcium Citrate Dense for direct tableting, granulation, drying, grinding and sieving processes are eliminated, reducing production costs. On the other hand, the average compression index, the average apparent density and the average pressed density of our product translate into a higher production capacity by achieving greater efficiency in the tableting process, since reprocessing is reduced
Nowdays, there is a greater awareness and recognition of health as a priority issue, so public and private health systems are committed to the well-being of people.
Calcium Citrate in nutritional/nutraceutical supplements is the best source of calcium to fortify the bone system.
Our Calcium Citrate is addressed to pharmaceutical laboratories that include in their product portfolio tablets or capsules with this API or Excipient, according to its formulation.
